How Do You Use Mixed Methods to Collect Data From LGBTQ People?

As a social scientist, I believe that both quantitative and qualitative data are necessary to tell the whole picture. In my experience, I found that policymakers and politicians tend to not read peer review articles, but rely more on stories from individuals. So when you include the narrative, I can see where you get a ton of benefits from someone who might not appreciate deep statistical rigor.
