How to Memorize International Names

Katie Hudson is known to be one of the best in the world at memorizing international names. She also has a synesthesia and could taste names or some can taste like vinegar or have colors. Katie uses traditional techniques but just sort of things and nationality and just reads them. Do you have a similar memorization style to Katie? What advice would you give to someone who wants to improve in this discipline?
