The Proposed Judiciary Changes in Israel
CNN's John Sutter is a subscriber to Haaretz. He says the paper has been covering Israeli Prime Minister Beebe Netanyahu's efforts to ram through changes to the judicial system. The only real check on the power of the government that exists in Israel, he says, is the Israeli Supreme Court. "We don't want the court to have too much power," Sutter writes, "but at the same time we alsoDon't want the government to have toomuch power"
