How Was Your English When You First Got to the UK?

I was a week B2 student. So all my colleagues were from different countries, from around the world. I started using English on a daily basis. And the more I used it, the more I noticed also the gaps that I had. The Polish people could speak very well. Spanish, not so much, I must say. Italians, like the Spanish. It's like a food chain.
