Vendors can get into trouble with vender lockin, because they have the whole solution. It's probably much easier just to buy that whole package than to buy each of the components and train the data yourself. Sometimes as you continue to add in scope or add different features, you can get that van derlockin unknowingly. So it's ok if you understand this and say, all right, i understand why and how i have to do this, and i'm going to choose to move forward.
