Mark branch was 18 years old at the time of the crime. He attended new salem academy for a few weeks and then dropped out to receive care at mc lean. His parents didn't comment on his mental health, or anything really about this case. One thing they all agree on is that he talked about killing people a lot. But because he was quiet and kind of emotionally unwell at the time, they figured he was kind of just going through it acting.
