The Prodigal Son

Jesuit Saint Al-Auwishis Gonzaga said, I'd rather be a child of God than son of the king of the whole world. We judge our progress in terms of are we moving towards God's purposes for us or not? So if we go from mortal sin to mortal sin, we've evacuated grace from our lives and broken friendship with God. That can only end badly. And when we do decide to wake up and say, Oh my gosh, you know, it's like the prodigal son. I want better for myself."
