The Gilbert Arenas Rule in the NBA
Antoine Jamison signed a six-year, 64 million dollar contract after his second year in the NBA. He played above the Golden State Warriors' cap of 49 million dollars per season. The CBA has something called the Gilbert Arenas rule that prevents players from signing for more than they can afford. Antoine says he was ready to quit when coach Mark Jackson asked him if he could play 25 games and made 25 million.
