The Importance of Identity in the Work I Do

Growing up as the only Asian American person in your all-white class, it taught you to pay attention to certain things. Now there are global standards of beauty and global aspirational norms that are often symbolized in the bodies of Asian women and K-pop idols. I just worry that we continue to be defined by our looks. And then as technology and filters improve, I worry that it narrows the standards.
