The Antichrist's Attack on the Incarnation
Gnosticism is an attack on the incarnation, the very God becoming flesh. If you can just eliminate the incarnation, it all gets undermined. Even the value of human beings. And so John says that those who deny that Jesus is coming in the flesh, well, they're from the Antichrist.
