Felicity was a character to start with. And so I fleshed her out and then figured out, you know, who her potential love interests be based on who she was. But if you have an idea to start with, like the Chalkover book started as an idea. It wasn't until I really figured out what the story was about that I figured out who boat was. She went through several renditions before I figured out the exact type of person she needed to be.
