How Haskell Is Affecting Other Programmers

The goal is not to affect those other programmers. So all the programs that have been written in Haskell we're going to continue to accept. You'll be able to import symbols from files that don't use dependent types and import things back and forth. The challenge is sometimes keeping the error messages good. Right now, GHC will say, oh, I can understand that. Do you want to turn on data kinds? Or something like that. And then especially a novice programmer is not going to know that that's not what they want.
