What Is the Meaning of Dog?
For deconstruction, the signifier never has a real meaning. Everything's always in their famous terms, slipping. It's always slippage. Words are sliding, meaning is sliding. So you get things like Bart there who's arguing that there's an illusion of stability. But really in the end, it's a created interpretation. And this becomes- so not just the word do-g to mean dog, but the idea of dogginess. These are both cultural constructions.
