The fine edge between trauma and refuge is so thin and it could tip in any side. Zainib's map also shows a stack of books which Sana told me other books of her father which she'd found refuge in during the years of violence. She went back to Bordeaux engaging this time through her research with the city and she found this incredible kind of sense of belonging that had been hidden. Ali Baroudi from Mosul says he absolutely loves the place. It means connecting back with this idea of home after you've left home for so many years.
