The Difference Between the Soul and the Spirit

Jeannie Brown: I was taught that we are spiritual beings that possess the soul and inhabit a body. What does the original scriptures say about this? Does it differentiate between the spirit and the soul, and what do the rabbinic literature have to says about this? Dr. Brown: The long of it is, I do believe we can dissect the human being into spirit, soul, body... And then even within soul, the realm of mind, emotions, consciousness, et cetera,. So it helps us to understand there's a difference between soul and spirit.
