The Importance of Census Data in Inflation
Even with income, people's expenditures are very different. College on average is about 7.5% a year for the last 20 years in inflation. If you don't send your kids to college, it doesn't really matter. So therefore, if you're checking a price point into that product and you're not buying that anymore or you don't understand the volumetrics behind the purchasing, creating prices loses relevance.
