The Polar Express is a 2004 computer-generated holiday feature film. Through the magic of motion capture, it stars Tom Hanks as multiple characters. One of the main criticisms that received was that all of its characters have dead eyes. In 2011, the Guardian printed an article highlighting six of the worst aspects of CGI motion capture effects in cinema. Dead Eyes was top of the list.
