What Happened to the Ice?

Three tons of ice were flown from Norway to the Sahara. Radio Luxembourg offered them $2m but retracted offer when it became clear how much money they would lose. The ice was then distributed around the desert for cocktails and stuff. It wasn't really potable at all so camels had to drink glass wool or tar paper instead.
