RPE or rate of perceived effort is exactly what ultimately determines our limits. RPE changes on a day to day basis like some days it just like a weight maybe like 400 pounds feels like an 8 then another day it could feel like a 9 and nothing's really changed. It's crazy how effort really does like how hard something feels determines whether I can get a weight up or not but marcora would say RPE is what counts.
