The EU has been working towards passing this AI act and the proposal that it's put through is almost certain to be approved. If you were to look at hugging face if you don't know what that is it's a basically an open source repository of all of the LMS. The cat is out of the bag. The horses have left the barn. There's something incompatible about that what Friedberg just said with what I said. In fact Friedberg's point bolsters my point. It's highly impractical to regulate open source software in this way. And all the harms that were described are already illegal and can be prosecuted.
