Ontology and Control Vocabulary Management
Even within our discipline people don't agree on these terms. The term taxonomy has taken over to mean all kinds of control vocabularies whether it's a flat list and For somebody so when I started Uh at the modern language association it was a thysaurus And then dot dot dot you have an ontology. So that modeling of upper Ontology is not an outgrowth of taxonomy You can have a taxonomy that's straight concepts that you would use to label content or products, but there's no non-tological like structure.
