How to Be Thrifty in a Relationship
In English we say opposites attract. So the reason he's comparing them to magnets according to genius.com is because magnets, the opposite pulls of magnets attract. I actually taught about this phrase kind of in an eating lesson. Thrifty is another word for cheap. We don't like to pay a lot of money. Instead of just going to a fancy restaurant, we're going to pay lots of money for a little bit of food. Go all you can eat, fill up the bag and I fill up a plate.
