There still seems to be a way for potentially alien information to enter your consciousness and show you inexplicable things. I've always sidesteped questions about consciousness because it is such a slippery and difficult topic so people think that I'm ignoring consciousness or that it's a fatal flaw in my ways of looking at things. We don't know why what we know is that these patterns of neural activity in the brain or representing the world somehow has a subjectivity, he says.
