The Uniform Determination of Death Act

The Uniform Determination of Death Act or UDDA was first drafted in the late 70s, early 80s. The rationale behind it came from Jermaine Grise and Joseph Boyle stating that the brain is the master integrator of the body. And when the brain dies, the body very quickly thereafter disintegrates. In fact, I think all the states and all the territories have adopted the Uniform Determined of Death Act to some form or another.
