How to Sign a Veteran in Training Camp

A couple of teams make some signings earlier this past weekend. What does this signify when teams are making these moves now as we're about a month away from the regular season? A lot of it depends on what moves they're making, right? Sometimes you have to sign a veteran guy. I thought Miles, Jack, one of the things I think Pittsburgh has struggled with over the years is they've never been able to replace Ryan Shazir. And they thought Jack could do it, right? Same thing with Zach Cunningham. This is two teams that have had miles, Jack that didn't go. It's interesting.
