EBM Geekery Through the Lens of Covid
The BMJ's Covid inquiry is looking at knowledge mobilisation during the pandemic and it pulls out a few evidence kind of successes which I thought I would highlight because they might be of interest to listeners. They pulled out the concept of adaptive trials which were done during Covid so instead of being entirely pre-specified and very linear, their nature could be revised in light of changes. We saw things like new treatment arms being added in and particular subgroups of patients being investigated more carefully.
