The Scandal of the Gospel
The scandal of the gospel is that Gentiles, who didn't give one rip about pursuing righteousness through the law have now obtained it by just believing in a promise. Paul says it's possible for you to look the more, the most righteous a human being can look on the outside. But if faith is not the driver behind your obedience or you're striving after the law, it accomplishes nothing.
