The number of named viruses is dramatically increasing year on year. In two thousand and 20 alone, one thousand and forty four species were added to the list. It's not easy to culture these things in a lab but with g nomes, they're just there in the environment. You can go through when you can sort of find them,. then start to understand some ot he diversity.
