Melanie Maguire was found guilty of murdering her husband Bill in 2007. The prosecution believed she had an accomplice, but could not identify who it was. A new witness claimed to have once been a mob bookkeeper and loan shark. But when he also claimed to be a descendant of medieval Lempra Charlemagne, as well as 18 United States presidents, Melanie withdrew the motion for a retrial.
