I think we need a substantive story about what's going off here. introspection is tracking obscurely how that complex pattern of reactive dispositions is unfolding, changing. This explains the privacy point, because it is my reactions that have been tracked. And my reactions are are mine in a very unmysterious way. But it's not too hard to see how it might create the sense of mystery. In fact, somehing so hard to explain that it's almost mysterious or non physical or baffling in some way em and you're kind of suggesting a piece of the answer.
