The Pharisees and the Sadducees

The Sadducees were a religious sect from before Christ was born during the Maccabean revolt. They believed only in the first five books of the Bible and didn't believe in resurrection. Paul turned them in the Pharisees against each other when he was arrested in Acts 23 starting in verse 6.
