"I think I might have like physically combusted and died if I saw someone crying over food," she said. "The way it is, it's sort of like all the people in the room are basically just like super fans." The chef tells you a story about each dish but then when they're done telling the story and then you eat the food, you're like, God damn it. She was mad at herself for letting the emotional storytelling of food affect her positively.
