The Truth Dimension of Artificial Life
The possibility of artificial life retroactively denaturalizes natural life itself. The moment you have 2.0, natural life becomes 1.0 as the point of view. For me Habermas is simply not radical enough here. He relies on some transcendental answer which for me is totally insufficient that natural sciences have their own ontological horizon. This is the ultimate irony of today's moralist jet. To worry about something is the ultimate way to avoid the problem.
