I think there's this let's say what's happening today in the world. There's a lot of admiration in the world for Ukrainian resistance. And I'm kind of troubled by this realization that other people are moved by these things but maybe I should stay with that being troubled for a moment and say, what part of me has been trained to resist or repress or deny this? The strangeness connects us to others who are also strange themselves. That's right. They're straight. But they alert us to something very strange in us, or they're certain things in us that maybe we didn't know."
