Is the Church Making a Mistake?
I'm grateful that I work in a profession where I do a lot of spiritual development work with people of many faith traditions. This is not unique to one flavor of faith. The church itself doesn't recognize its own place in the spiritual development of people. They actually make promises to people that they are not equipped to keep. And then when people are let down, they're let down very legitimately because the premise has been wrong from the gate.
