The Effects of Labor Force Participation on Fertility
The number of children that women prefer to have has been declining from one generation to the next. Teenage fertility has fallen substantially since the 90s and explains a good portion of the current decline most recent decline. Maybe it's because we're all living longer and so human capital development is more important than it once was.
