The Origins of Vikings
In ancient Scandinavian, in Norse, Viking refers to the activity of going on expedition by sea to find loot. Albon Goutier is professor of medieval history at the University of Komp. Before becoming traders and warriors, they were farmers. They bred pigs, barley, wheat, peas, turnips and cabbages. But the land was rough and not always giving.
