I would say I am an optimistic cynic because I do embrace positivity, but I'm constantly aware that things are going to go wrong. The goal I always tell people rather than saying my goal is to constantly improve,My goal is to suck a little less every day. That kind of optimistic cynicism is, I think, a more sustainable way of doing it. If you're a pure optimist and you have a terrible day, it just clashes with your life philosophy so much that you don't really know how to tie things together.
