He's in a bit of a grieving mode here with the nanny maybe and the other changes going back to school full time. As his parent notices, he's thriving in school, but he's just got a lot of feelings about it. It's healthy that he's sharing them and sharing them with his mother who he totally trusts. And actually toilet training is sort of about separation as well. He can't do this right now. He will soon. But I wouldn't make that another area of frustration for both of you because that will only make it harder for him and for her. Just trust that. This will pass.
