Is Devolution Really a Priority for the House of Lords?
I just don't think it's a priority at the time we've got war in Europe, potent and a massive economic crisis because of that. It sounds like that was the conclusion that Kia Starma arrived at this morning - he sounded quite gung-ho about all the change to the House of Lords. No, what he's doing is making his priority about devolution from the centre,. The real priority ought to be his priority because we have economic, real trouble. Vicki talks about that. I had her in front of my committee in the Lords about children. And in the Northeast, children's poverty has risen incredibly since 2011. Now that is something we should be doing something
