Mamesis: Memetic desire fundamentally represents a desire for transcendence in the human person. She says we seem to have more like memetic relationships over the last ten years, and that it's fueling this kind of reactionary nature. But i think the only solution is to replace these destructive patterns with positive ones - religion has traditionally supplied those models.
