When he started his masters in organizational psychology, the very first module was all about work as a calling. It kind of annoyed him quite a lot because it sounded so religious. He says cults are like an algorithm that manipulates people in very specific ways. They promise you something that's not possible to deliver through that cult. But they're brilliant at spotting what their own cult looks like.
