The Importance of Credibility in Journalism
The idea that we expected Lockheed to produce a hypersonic glide vehicle on that timeline has everything to do with just the fact that Lockheed's a giant conglomerate with a trillion dollars to spend. The failures were on igniting the motor because purely from an engineering standpoint, the hypersonics, you know, physics problems that we deal with are more complex systems than a boost glide. And then we had to release stuff that we should have had locked down 40 years ago. That's really what makes me think they were rushing. I mean, and we take that for granted so often, but it's so important.
