What Is Success? And Why Has It Failed?
i became a teacher before n c o b, and it was the time of a lot of dreaming and possibility in urban schools. And for me, i think i watched with a really heavy heart and a lot of dissonance as this test and punish era just arrived to sort of cast a shadow over the field. We're trying to uproot and and problematize that idea that the only way we can gage success is through measurement, classification, categorization.
