The Importance of Divine Mercy Sunday
John Paul II died on Divine Mercy Sunday. Jesus reveals early on to Faustina that he wants a feast after Easter, the Sunday after Easter. This is resurrected Christ who is coming from after the passion and is coming to people in mercy with the marks of the passion. And so it's fitting to turn now and Divine Mercy Sunday to realize all these things we've been celebrating are because we needed it as sinners.
