How could angels have known that someone was going to die if their death was the result of something that they chose from their own free will? But the choices that produced that surely went way back. We have to imagine an intimate interplay going on all the time between our choices and God's plan. That God's plan is always for our happiness. Never to just, you know, cause us to suffer.
