Thomas Aquinas in the Middle Ages wrote that, again, God gave all of creation to all of humanity. He also notes that at some point, privatization and individual property claims emerge. But he doesn't create the same mechanism that Locke does, which is that labor itself, grabbing things and putting them to work, conferring the property.
