The white population of harlem, which far outnumbered the new african american community, most were not too eager to share their neighborhood with this new group. In our next episode, we will look at how the white residents of old harlem actually fought back very aggressively against this new black wave of tenants. But will also explore how harlem became not merely a neighborhood where blats could live and work, but became a black mecca for the entire country. And that is all thanks to one very great migration.
