C++ - Is There a Difference Between Carbon and C++?

Carbon is designed to be a dependency in the same way that your libraries are. You don't want to stay on an old version of a library that you're using, even if the API changes a bit as you move to a new version. So part of that will be making it easy and low cost for people to upgrade their code as the language changes. We've talked about maybe having an LTS release every 10 years cutting out any two systems that would get between different versions of a language. And I'm afraid by making those infrequent releases we think we can really focus on keeping those stable and robust.
