A book club actually is a great way to connect with people. If you love reading or if you're trying to develop a reading habit, it can give you some good accountability to read it. It also has the added effect that reading is absolutely one of the best ways to expand your vocabulary and see grammar and context. And by organizing this book club, I kind of scratched my own itch.
